What is WineGento?

We're excited to be part of the revival of the Magento community and want to give back by inviting everyone to a long weekend non-profit event. Here, we'll explore ancient wine traditions, brainstorm new ideas, and discuss the latest e-commerce events and trends in a casual atmosphere. Think of it as a community vacation.

Where and When?

The event is scheduled for July 27, 2024, and will be held in Georgia, an ancient country renowned as the birthplace of wine.

Georgia is well-connected to Europe, with flights available to Tbilisi (TBS) and Kutaisi (KUT) airports.

Georgia is very safe for travelers and is the home of the Developers Alliance, your hosts for the event.

What to Expect?

Georgia has a long tradition of hospitality, welcoming guests to share ancient culture and enjoyment of wine. Inspired by this spirit and the success of BeerGento, another Magento community project, we decided to host a community event right here. It's a great opportunity for the community to come together, share good times, and experience the unique culture and traditions of Georgia.

The weather will be warm, 30-35°C, and sunny. Georgia is a land of contrasts, mixing Europe with the East, rich with poor, modern with old traditions, city life with rural vibes, mountains and valleys, etc. Accommodation will be in a standard hotel in Tbilisi center. Transportation to the ethnographic festival, winery region tour, and hike will be provided by a bus with AC. Dinners will be organized at different local restaurants in a traditional manner, similar to a Swedish table with lots of food and wine and a traditional dance show.
